About the role

Do you want to help develop digital services used by hundreds of thousands of travelers every day? We at Future People are now looking for a UX/UI designer for an assignment with an authority in Kungsholmen.

The authority manages complex IT solutions within traffic information, ticket and payment systems, traffic management, and digital channels. Within the section, they work to develop and maintain digital services for travelers, traffic operators, and partners with a focus on innovation, quality, and user experience.

The team consists of 8–10 people with roles such as product owners, developers (Android, iOS), testers, design leads, architects, and team coaches. The work is conducted in an agile environment with close collaboration both internally and with external suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Work on concept development and detailed design.
• Collaborate closely with developers to anchor design before implementation.
• Participate in cross-functional collaborations with other agile teams.
• Contribute to the development of traveler-centric digital services in line with the authority's digitalization goals.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has at least six (6) years of work experience as a UX/UI designer in mobile applications (iOS and/or Android).
• Has at least three (3) years of documented work experience in UX design full-time.
• Has documented experience working in a structured and method-driven manner with user-centered design in all parts of the design process, supported by at least two (2) assignments where different methods have been used over the past six (6) years. Experience should include the application of established UX/UI methods such as user journeys, interviews, prototyping, user testing, or similar.
• Has at least three (3) years of work experience independently planning and conducting usability studies, including identifying necessary activities, adapting to conditions, choosing relevant methods such as user testing, observations, surveys, and interviews to improve usability and user experience.
• Has at least two (2) years of work experience where the consultant has experience creating design sketches and interactive prototypes in the graphic design tool Figma, which have been evaluated together with end-users. Has documented experience working with Design Tokens and Variables.
• Has documented work experience working with detailed design within an established design system for at least two (2) years within the last seven (7) years.
• Has documented work experience evaluating their design based on standardized accessibility principles according to WCAG AA, supported by at least two (2) assignments.
• Has at least two (2) years of work experience in design work in an agile cross-functional development team. Familiar with working with agile methodology and collaborating cross-functionally with other roles in a development team.
• Has at least 3 years of post-secondary education in IT or equivalent.
